What Can I Do To Help A Yeast Infection?

It is said that 70% of people suffer from an infection and don't even know that they do. Once someone does realize that they have one, they often ask, what can I do to help a yeast infection? There are a few things you must know in order to answer this question properly.

The first thing to understand is that this infection comes from the Candida fungus and this fungus naturally grows in our body in the lower abdominal tract. When modern medicine started using steroids and antibiotics, outbreaks of the fungus started to be reported. Modern medicine, in it's attempt to cure other disease, actually created more. Ironic if you ask me.

Over the counter drugs won't fix the problem either. They may get rid of the local infection, however, they don't fix the problem of Candida growing out of control in the body. This is why I personally don't recommend them as an answer to the question what can I do to help a yeast infection. They will work to get rid of the itching and smell and such for right now, however, they won't stop the infection from coming back.

The best answer to what can I do to help a yeast infection is to pay close attention to your diet and to seek natural cures to get rid of the infection and get the Candida fungus under control in your body. A diet with at least 60% vegetables that are high in fiber and low in starch is a good start. You will also need to cut out almost all sugar as this is what the fungus feeds on. Carbohydrates from breads and pastas are also another food that must go.
